in local boy band More and girl group Innocenz
TWO poptastic teenage Taunton dance bands are making serious waves in the highly competitive world of modern pop music, write MIKE PHILIPS.

Boy band More and girl group Innocenz are set to break into the big time with their all-action dance routines and vibrant musical style.

Already top record companies are showing interest and the future looks bright for the local youngsters.

More are verging on major recognition with their own fan club, web site, a newly recorded album.

John and Alex from Taunton, Ben from Wellington and Gareth from Puriton have been preparing for the big break for nearly five years and have signed a deal with German production company Its Music OK and local agents Bang'em'out Management.

Aiming at the teenage boy band market, the group is backed by Eurovision song writer Paul Varney who has written for S Club 7 and Precious.

The Lads also write their own material, choreograph their own routines, play instruments, and have performed in London's West End.

"They really are an outstanding talent," said manager Kevin Lock. "It's not a case of if they make it but when. They already have 4,500 registered fans in the UK. They are going to be huge."

Innocenz, who support More at Sloanes nightclub in Taunton on Thursday (April 27), are following the same route to success.

With six new tracks in the pipeline, the girl band has landed a £50,000 deal with a production company in Europe.

The ticket hotline for the concert at Sloanes is Taunton 323062 with prices at £3 per person or £4 on the door starting at 7pm.
